SIXTH GRADE
The assignment for today is to draw a double line graph using the information from the table I gave you. There are two questions to answer. Be sure to read the instructions! Let me know if you have any questions.

SEVENTH GRADE
Math: The assignment for today is to convert decimals to percents, percents to decimals, fractions to percents, and percents to fractions. If you need help remembering how, let me know!

Geography: We spent time having a class discussion about population patterns and taking notes. There is no homework!

EIGHTH GRADE
Pre-Algebra: The assignment today is to compare and order rational numbers. Remember, if you have all negative numbers but need to order least to greatest, then you have to reverse the order you expect. For example, -0.53, -0.35, -0.82, & -0.28 would be ordered as follows:

-0.82, -0.53, -0.35, -0.28

The smallest number is the furthest to the left on the number line.

You are doing #1-32. Remember on the back to order least to greatest and not greatest to least (which is what the worksheet says).

Algebra I: Cartesian Coordinate System, Domain, Range, and Functions. Remember, domain is all the x values of a given set and range is all the y values. A set of coordinate points is a function if for every x value, there is only 1 y value. If an x value is listed more than once, check to see if there are two different y's. If so, it is NOT a function. For example:

(-2, -3), (5, -3), (7, -2), (4, -8)

This is a function because the x values are all different. It doesn't matter that two different x's have the same y.

The set below is NOT a function:

(5, -3), (8, -2), (5, 4), (7, -4)

This is because 5 occurs twice as the x value, but in the first point, the y value is -3 and the second the y value is 4.

Be sure to write if you have any questions!

See you tomorrow,
