SIXTH GRADE

We did not have regular math class because we were watching the news about the new pope! Tomorrow is Pi Day (3-14), so we will be celebrating....with pie and other pi/circle related activities. I will be holding a contest in all of middle school. The person who can recite the most digits in pi will win a prize. The students received a page with pi to many, many decimal places. I would like everyone to try to memorize as much as they can, even if they think they can't win. I'll see you all tomorrow for a day of fun!

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: The assignment for today is to write a story with inequalities, following the directions on the handout. Remember you have to use SIX inequalities in your story...not just four. Remember to try to memorize as many places of pi that you can! Tomorrow is PI DAY!!!!

Geography: We were watching the news about the new pope during Geography class today! It was very exciting for the kids. There is no homework.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: We played a game in class today because they had a test yesterday. No homework except memorizing as many places of pi that you can!

Algebra I: Simplifying expressions with negative exponents. I made a video with some examples.
