SIXTH GRADE

The class took a quiz over adding and subtracting fractions today. No homework!

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

The class played a game utilizing order of operations. No homework!

GEOGRAPHY

For homework, read the rest of the section on pages 292-295. Answer the questions A-E about union or separation of Gran Colombia on pages 294-295. Then answer the "Analyze the Documents" questions on page 295. For #2, you have to think of yourself as one of Bolivar's assistants. You just read the quote from the Declaration of Valencia (on page 295). Now you have to write a memo to Bolivar, suggesting how he should reply to the Declaration. Since Bolivar is for Gran Colombia remaining united - as his assistant, you would be too. So, Bolivar has to respond to the leaders of the independence movement. He will probably want to persuade them not to declare independence. So, as his assistant, tell him what he should say.

COUNTRY QUIZ TOMORROW! Be sure you have notes.
