Wednesday, March 2nd

Sixth Grade

Literature - We had DEAR time today! (Drop Everything And Read) The class really enjoyed it and everyone read for about 30 minutes. I was so glad to see so many enjoying their books!

Spelling - Unit 25 is due next Tuesday.

Math - Lesson 70. Remember, the first number is the "left or right" number. The second number is the "up or down" number. If the number is negative, then you would go left if it's the first number, or down if it's the second number. If the number is positive, then you would go right or up.

Seventh Grade

Literature - We listened to a chapter using Tumblebooks today. We are just a few chapters away from finishing! (whew!)

Spelling - Remember, Unit 25 is due on Friday.

Research Paper - We discussed the Bibliography today. It needs to have your four sources listed in alphabetical order by the first word in the entry. (Each entry should be numbered as well.) Your source cards should be able to be copied straight onto your bibliography. Remember, you should have two books, one website, and one encyclopedia. Also, you need a title page for the front of the paper. You can still have a title on the top of your first page. Lastly, you can include a picture page after the Bibliography. It is not required, but might be fun to include!

Math - Practice Test 13. Finish the practice test and we will go over it tomorrow.

Eighth Grade

Pre-Algebra - Lesson 69. Adding integers. Follow the rule I put on the board! (If you scroll back a few days, I posted the rules for 7th grade. Ignore the rules for subtracting for now....we'll get to that in a few days.) Do the Practice, 14-30 evens, and the Integer worksheet.

Algebra I - Factoring. Practice and #4-18 all. Remember, if you aren't sure if you are correct, you can always FOIL or make the table to see if you get what you started with. Here are a few examples:

See you tomorrow!
