SIXTH GRADE

The class finished up their posters and we began discussing the next topic. There is no homework!

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: Indirect Measure - be sure to draw pictures of all of them except #2 and #9! Remember, you are using proportions to find the missing number. If you need help, email me!

Geography: The class began working on Atlas Activities for Asia. We also began discussing the geographical features of Asia.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: We began discussing circles, cylinders, and spheres. We are beginning a unit on two and three dimensional shapes. No homework today!

Algebra I: Factoring by Grouping. Here is a video to help you!

SIXTH GRADE

The class was paired with a partner today to work on a ratio/proportion project. The project should be finished by tomorrow. There is no homework!

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: The class continued working on the Capture-Recapture ratio and proportion activity from Friday. We will finish tomorrow.

Geography: We began our unit over Asia today. The assignment is to identify all of the countries in Asia and their capitals as well as label some of the bodies of water. This isn't due until Wednesday.

ALSO: I passed out information about the Patrick J. Minden Scholarship. Be sure you read the letter and discuss this opportunity.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: The class took a test over Transformations and Transversals today.

SIXTH GRADE

We worked on a class activity today, but several students didn't finish. Some will need to complete their measurements at home and write the ratios, but we will compare the ratios and see if they are proportional tomorrow.

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: We worked on an in class activity today. A few students will have to finish at home.

Geography: The class took a test today. They will finish tomorrow as it was a LONG test!

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: There will be a test on Monday. We reviewed in class today.

Algebra I: Factoring by Grouping. I made a video for you!

SIXTH GRADE

Word problems with proportions. I made you a video to show the different kinds of proportions you are going to be solving.



SEVENTH GRADE

Math: Similar Triangles. Everyone was a doing a terrific job on these today in class. Please let me know if you get stuck!

Geography: We began studying for the test, which will be Thursday.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: More parallel lines and transversals. Please let me know if you need help! Everyone seemed to get the hang of it in class today.

Algebra I: Do you guys need a video? It seemed easy to you in class, but I'll do one if you need it! Let me know.

SIXTH GRADE

Proportions - Your assignment is everything but the critical thinking. I believe that is #1-27. I made a video on how to do a few of them.



SEVENTH GRADE

Math: Giant Pencils - proportions. Be sure to finish your proportions to find how tall your giant would be to use the pencils from class!

Geography: The students presented their South American vacation projects today. Not everyone finished so some people are going to need to work a little more tonight.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: Transversals. The homework is all of the handout from today. If you are stuck, please email me!

Algebra I: Finding Greatest Common Factor. I made a video to show how to do the ones that include variables. If you need more help, let me know!

SIXTH GRADE

The class is working on ratios right now and they did an in class activity today. Some students will need to finish the ratios at home from the handout. If you have questions, send me an email.

SEVENTH GRADE

The class is working on their math/Geography South American vacation project. We are spending both class periods this week to work on the project. It is due on Monday.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: The class took notes over angle pairs today. No homework!

Algebra I: There is a test tomorrow! Be sure to work the rest of the problems from the review. I will be posting a video later tonight with the answers. Check back around 9:00. (I know that's late, but I won't have a copy of the assignment until then.)
