SIXTH GRADE MATH

You are doing divisibility rules today. page 160, #6-25. Remember, to check if a number is divisible by another number, follow the rules. For example, is 1,572 divisible by 2, 3, 5, 9, or 10?

Since 1,572 ends in 2, it is divisible by 2.
Since the digits in 1,572 add up to 15 (1+5+7+2=15), then it is divisible by 3, because 3 goes into 15.
Since 1,572 doesn't end in 5 or 0, it is NOT divisible by 5.
Since the digits in 1,572 add up to 15, then it is NOT divisible by 9 since 9 does not go into 15.

You would write as your answer: 2 and 3

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

Today, you are doing the reteaching worksheet on comparing and ordering fractions. If you need help, look at the video from the Thursday before Thanksgiving. (It's the post right below this one.)

SEVENTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

The class took notes on the physical features of the United States today. The homework is the US Mountains handout. Remember, you are listing mountain ranges, not individual mountains. Then find the region the range is in and compare it in elevation to the Rockies and the Appalachians.

THERE IS A COUNTRY QUIZ ON WEDNESDAY! Be sure to look up facts for a new country in North America.

PRE-ALGEBRA

You are doing the worksheet on adding signed mixed numbers. You can watch the video from the Thursday before Thanksgiving (in the post below) for most of it. I made a new video with examples of how to add 3 fractions.

ALGEBRA I

Just finish question #2 on the handout. We will work more in class tomorrow!

See you tomorrow,
