SIXTH GRADE
The homework for today is the subtracting integers worksheet. #1-29, from 30 to the end is extra credit.
SEVENTH GRADE
Math: The class did an activity today called Capture the Flag - World Domination! It was a fun activity using their skills on measuring angles with a protractor. Tomorrow, we will find out who the new world leader is!

Geography: The class had a test today. Remember, there is a country quiz over Asia tomorrow! Be sure you get notes for it. Please look them up yourself.
EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: Finding volume of cones and pyramids. The formula is simple: area of the base times the height divided by 3. Remember that when you find the area of the base to pay attention to what shape the base is. If the base is a square, multiply side x side. If the base is a rectangle, multiply length x width. If the base is a triangle, multiply the triangle's base times the triangle's height and divide by 2.

Algebra I: Adding rational expressions. I made a video tonight:

See you tomorrow!

SIXTH GRADE
We did not have class on Friday because the 6th grade was on the field trip! The homework from Thursday is due on Monday. I made a video on Thursday if you need help. Just scroll down until you get to the previous day.
SEVENTH GRADE
Math: We practiced drawing angles using a protractor. There is no homework.

Geography: I passed out the study guide for the Asia test - which will be on Tuesday. Please study this weekend!
EIGHTH GRADE
Pre-Algebra: Surface area of cones. I made a video in case you are stuck! Here is your direct link.

Algebra I: Making equivalent rational expressions by finding a LCD. I made a video for you! Here is the direct link.

SIXTH GRADE

Adding integers using a number line. I made a video with an example of adding 3 and how to solve the ones with the letters.

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: Lines, rays, and planes. I made a video with a few examples.

Geography: We read in class! No homework.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: Finding the volume of pyramids. Please use the formula! You just have to find the area of the 5 faces separately on the first one since the slant heights are different. So, think of each slanted face as a separate triangle and the bottom face as a rectangle.

Algebra I: No homework! We practiced some problems together.

See you tomorrow!

Comparing and Ordering Integers. I made a video for you! Here is a direct link if you can't see the video.

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: Test Review. The test is tomorrow so be sure you go over the review we did in class today.

Geography: We read from our book about Asia. No homework.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: Polyhedra. Let me know if you have questions. It's pretty straightfoward!

Algebra I: Multiplying and Dividing Rational Expressions. I made a video for you! Here is a direct link.

SIXTH GRADE

There is a test over ratios and proportions tomorrow! Be sure to go over your test review.

SEVENTH GRADE

Math: More indirect measure. For the first ones, you are checking to see if they are similar by seeing if their sides are proportional. So, set it up like a proportion, but you will have all the pieces. There isn't a missing one. Then check to see if the two fractions are equivalent by doing cross products. If the cross products are equal, then the shapes are similar. If they aren't equal, then the shapes aren't similar.

Geography: Chapter 24, Section 1. Finish reading the section and do #1-4.

EIGHTH GRADE

Pre-Algebra: Area of Complex Shapes. Here is a video! This is a direct link if you can't see it below.

Algebra I: There is a test tomorrow over Chapter 6 - factoring. Please go over the review. You could do the odds to practice and check your answers in the back of the book.

See you tomorrow!
