SIXTH GRADE

Today, you are practicing again with comparing fractions by finding a common denominator. If you are still having trouble, watch yesterday's video again. That should help. The assignment today is worksheet 4-8. You are doing the top section and the bottom section. Do not do any of the ordering fraction problems.

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

We didn't have class today because of Grandparent's Day and the donuts and coffee afterwards.
 
GEOGRAPHY

The class took a performance assessment today. No homework.

PRE-ALGEBRA

SIXTH GRADE

The class worked with Mrs. Talbot on a writing assignment during math class today. There is no homework!
 
SEVENTH GRADE MATH

The class worked on combining like terms - problems from the board. Everyone finished and turned it in.

GEOGRAPHY

There is a COUNTRY QUIZ tomorrow and the test over North America is Thursday. I gave the class a review today. Also, the homework for tonight is two Atlas activity worksheets - United States, Lesson 3 and Middle America.
 
PRE-ALGEBRA

We finished the test review today. The test is tomorrow!

SIXTH GRADE

Today's assignment is more practice with finding the GCF using the cake method. You needed to write the problems down from the board.

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

Today's assignment is a mix of one step equations - all operations.

GEOGRAPHY

You needed to finish up the Natural Resources assignment (one group per person - you didn't need to do all three groups). Then you also need to do the two  Atlas Activities, Canada and United States Lesson 1.

PRE-ALGEBRA

Today's assignment is about finding simple interest. #1-10 and #11 is extra credit on pages 243-244. Here's a video:

 
ALGEBRA I

Additional exercises to practice the addition/elimination method of solving systems of equations. You are doing #1-16 - with 13-15 as extra credit.

SIXTH GRADE

The class worked on an activity with prime numbers in class and then answered a few questions on the worksheet. Other than that, there is no homework.

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

The class learned how to solve subtraction equations and those involving integers. The assignment is a worksheet.

GEOGRAPHY

Today, the class put together their passports and glued in their first flags. There is a COUNTRY QUIZ tomorrow. Be sure you have notes and are ready for it!
 
PRE-ALGEBRA

We worked on solving percent equations today. We did not finish going over examples so there is NO HOMEWORK. (Emiley, don't try to do the assignment I sent home!)
 
ALGEBRA I

You are solving systems of equations by substitution today. The assignment is on page something something #2-24 evens only. (I don't remember the page...if you need it, I can find it, but it isn't handy right now.) I'll post a video but it won't be available until around 7:30 or so.

SIXTH GRADE

Today's assignment is page 160 #1-25. You are doing divisibility rules today. Here is a quick video with some examples:

SEVENTH GRADE MATH

We reviewed how to solve simple addition equations today. Everyone finished their homework in class.

GEOGRAPHY

The class prepared their passports so they can start putting the flags they earn from country quizzes in them! They will get their first 3 flags tomorrow. Then, the class took notes over the physical geography of North America. There will be a COUNTRY QUIZ on Wednesday. Then, on Friday, there will be a TEST over the physical geography of North America. They will know everything for the test by the end of class tomorrow. We will have another test for this unit over other aspects. I decided to break the test into two parts this year - one for the physical geography (and the map skills) and one for the other aspects - such as ancient civilizations, types of government, resources, etc.

PRE-ALGEBRA

The assignment is page 221 #6-30 evens. Here is a video with some examples:
